Starting the week of November 6th through the 17th, we encourage students who commute to and from university campuses throughout South Florida to use an alternative mode of transportation. Whether you choose to ride the train or the bus, walk, bike or carpool, you can help reduce congestion on South Florida roadways and lessen your impact on the environment.
To participate, simply download the free RideFlag mobile app, tap in to begin your trip and tap out at the end of your trip to log your miles.
Team up with at least one other person for the drive to school and cut your commuting costs. Interested in joining a carpool? Let RideFlag help match you with others at your university.
Explore your options and the new features, including real-time tracking, making traveling by bus or train easier than ever. We drive and you relax. You don't fight traffic any more.
Commuter bike trips have increased by over 40% in the last ten years. It's a healthy, less expensive way to get around campus. Can't do the entire trip by bike? There are options!
Studies have shown walking increases your energy and improves mood and productivity. It also keeps roughly four pounds of pollutants out of the air for every mile walked.
Download the mobile app to log your daily commutes during the Challenge. Simply tap in and tap out to begin and end your trips.

Thank you to our transportation partners for making the Commuter Challenge possible
The 2017 Commuter Challenge highlighted the benefits of carpooling, taking public transit options, biking and walking. We urge everyone to make use of alternative transportation to help reduce traffic congestion and environmental impact. If you're interested in carpooling, please download the free RideFlag mobile app which allows you to carpool on demand.
